Designing Solutions with Advanced Material Manufacturing

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) is a design and fabrication company focused on the use of innovative materials including composites and plastics. We manufacture hybrid solutions that can combine steel and wood, with our innovative materials.

We are Canada’s exclusive licensed manufacturer of InfraCore and HCB Technology. CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) continues to expand its product line, and services to meet the needs of an ever changing market. We specialize in civil construction, transportation, public infrastructure, marine applications, industrial equipment, and the energy industry. Together with our business partners, FiberCore Europe and HCB Inc., we are focused on providing modern design solutions for infrastructure, and industry.

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) is driven to reshape the way infrastructure and industry projects are conceptualized and constructed. All products are engineered and custom fabricated at our facility in Nisku, Alberta and delivered nationwide. CMSI’s (CMS Infrastructure's) products and business practices revolve around a commitment to sustainability. Using best-practice construction solutions, as well as responsible operating and environmental practices. We strive to work toward a more just and sustainable future for our communities.

Whatever the design, structural or logistical challenge, CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) is committed to delivering the right manufacturing solution necessary to advance your project.

FRP is fiber-reinforced polymer. it consists of a combination of glass and/or carbon fibers and thermosetting resin.

What makes our FRP application unique?
Through our partnerships with FiberCore Europe featuring our InfraCore® technology, And John Hillman HCB® ( Hillman Composite Beam), we offer the most advanced technology in the design and fabrication of FRP products.
The InfraCore® technology offers a standardized and modular structural approach, which enables the ralization of proven and validated cost-effective (both OE: Operating Expenditure / CE: Capital Expenditure) FRP structures that are easily scalable, lightweight, durable, maintenance-free, heavy-duty, damage tolerant, and high load bearing.
The HCB® combines advanced composites with concrete and steel. This unique embodiment of structural form results in lightweight, corrosion-resistant and sustainable alternative to conventional materials.

FRP is the material of today and the future. Serving the Civil construction, transportation, public infrastructure, marine applications, industrial equipment, and the energy industry.

Together with our business partners, FiberCore Europe and HCB Inc., we are focused on providing modern design solutions for infrastructure and industry.

The InfraCore® and HCB Technology is proven to be significantly lighter than steel and concrete. Lighter weight reduces transportation, construction, and installation time, which reflects significant cost savings. when applied to bridge construction, The lightweight design allows for a lighter foundation, again significantly reducing costs. The overall lifetime value is unmatched.

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) designs, engineering, and fabrication are very robust and meet the highest safety standards. Our products are virtually indestructible and comply with all Canadian building codes.

FRP is stronger than steel and the unique InfraCore® and HCB® technology prevents delamination and cracking, the achilles heel in how composites were previously manufactured.

CMSI bridges featuring our InfraCore® technology outperform and outlast traditional concrete and steel bridges.

InfraCore® technology

Almost every bridge and bridge deck that CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) constructs and installs are equipped with the InfraCore® Inside. A patented technology that makes it possible to produce FRP panels, that can withstand heavy loads, in an industrial way. With this invention, FiberCore Europe paved the way in 2008 for fiber-reinforced polymer structures in construction & infrastructure.

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) InfraCore® technology prevents delamination and cracking, a known problem with FRP support structures. The solution was found in a continuous structural connection of glass fibers (or carbon fibers) between the top and bottom of the structure. The fiberglass mats run from the upper skin through body plates to the lower skin. And by placing the fibers in all directions, resin-dominated fracture surfaces are avoided. The construction contains no internal glues or bolted connections. The strength comes entirely from the fibers, which themselves are stronger than steel.

The InfraCore® technology has been tested for a combination of stress, impact damage and fatigue. This shows that no delamination can occur due to fatigue in damaged plates. All constructions with InfraCore® Inside will comply with Canadian bridge construction codes.

We only have one earth and we have to treat it with care. With CMSI  (CMS Infrastructure) FRP construction materials and construction techniques we contribute to making the infrastructure market more sustainable.

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) bridge and mat structures are extremely strong. FRP is stronger than steel. The unique InfraCore® technology prevents delamination and cracking.

Maintenance free

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) bridges and mats are resistant to moisture, rot and mold and insensitive to temperature changes. They are also resistant to vandalism and graffiti are easy to remove.

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) bridges and mats have a lower weight than traditional steel and concrete structures. As a result, the underlying construction can be lighter and therefore reduce transport and construction installation times.

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) bridges and mats are designed and engineered to be very robust and meet the highest safety standards. Our bridges and mats are virtually indestructible and comply with all Canadian building codes.

Long lifespan

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) bridges, mats and bridge decks are designed for a very long service life. By using InfraCore® Inside, our products retain their strength and sturdiness for decades.

CMSI (CMS Infrastructure) has developed and implemented a quality management system, using the latest edition of ISO 9001 as a framework that allows our organization to document and improve our practices to better satisfy the needs and expectations of our customers, and stakeholders.

Our quality management system meets the requirements of ISO 9001 using risk-based thinking and the Plan, Do, Check, Act approach to process planning. Our quality management system addresses our strategies for the Design, Manufacture, Delivery, and Support of all our products and services.
